1. The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ: He is the eternal son of God. We acknowledge Him to be man and God, Immanuel, God with us (Matthew 1:23). Our most important goal is to worship and exalt his Holy name.

2. All human beings are sinners and in need of a saviour: Romans 3:23(NKJV) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

3. Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven : Jesus’ death and resurrection, conquered hell, death and the grave John 14:6(NKJV) Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

4. Biblical Inerrancy: The bible is without error or fault. Furthermore, the scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man.

5. Baptism of the Holy Spirit: We believe all true believers should earnestly desire the promise of the Father as taught in Acts 1 and 2. The Holy Spirit is indispensable in the work of the ministry.

6. The Great Commission: It is a command of our Lord Jesus and not a recommendation.

7. The Second Coming: We firmly believe that Jesus Christ will return just as he said. We eagerly wait for his return Rev 22:12(NKJV) “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

How we got started

The Good Shepherd, founded by Pastor Gordon Burgess (1928-2017) began as a house church. He served as pastor for over 20 years. The Good Shepherd was originally formed as a small group English service to reach out to the English speaking community. The church is now none denominational and bilingual(English and Spanish) with the purpose of serving the local community.
